1 - 6 ounce box seasoned quick cooking wild rice
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup cinnamon apple preserves
1/3 cup sliced almonds
In the saucepan, combine rice, contents of seasoning package and water. Bring rice to a boil.
Reduce heat to a simmer, cover with a tight lid for 6 minutes. Remove rice from the heat. let stand 6 minutes. Stir in preserves, cranberries and almonds; cover rice. Let the rice stand 5 minutes longer or until liquid is absorbed. Fluff rice with a fork.
