Fruit Cheese Ball Appetizer Recipe

Appetizer Fruit Ball

Pan size: serving plate
Fruit Cheese Ball Appetizer Prep time: 15 minutes
Chill time: 2 hours or up to 24 hours
Fruit Cheese Ball Appetizer Servings: 10

Fruit Cheese Ball Appetizer Making Directions

1 - 8 ounce container mascarpone cheese { in a soft Italian cheese }
2 ounces prosciutto, finely chopped { salt cured ham sliced paper thin }
1/4 cup finely chopped dried figs
1/4 cup finely chopped walnuts
1 - 3 ounce package cream cheese, softened
Kumquat wedges (optional)
Fresh savory (optional)
Cantaloupe wedges
fresh strawberries, or any other fresh fruit

Combine mascarpone cheese, prosciutto, figs and nuts in a medium mixing bowl. Line a small bowl with plastic wrap. Pack cheese mixture into the lined container.

Cover and chill Fruit Cheese Ball for at least 2 hours or up to 24 hours.

To serve, lift cheese mold out of bowl. Remove plastic wrap. Spread softened cream cheese over mold. Allow to stand at room temperature for 20 to 30 minutes before serving. Garnish with kumquat wedges and fresh savory. Serve on a serving plate with fresh fruit.
