Herbed Soybean Snacks Recipe

Cooking Directions
8 ounces dry-roasted soybeans
1 1/2 teaspoons dried thyme, crushed
1/4 garlic salt or garlic powder
1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Spread soybeans in an even layer on a cookie sheet baking dish. In a bowl combine thyme, garlic salt and cayenne pepper. Sprinkle soybeans with thyme mixture.
Bake in a preheated oven for about 5 minutes or just until heated through, shaking the cookie sheet once. Cool herbed soy beans completely. Sore in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
Indian Spiced Soybean Snacks:
Prepare as above, except substitute 1/2 teaspoon garam masala and 1/4 teaspoon salt for the thyme and garlic salt.
Sesame Ginger Soybean Snacks:
Prepare as above, except substitute 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil, 3/4 teaspoon ground ginger, 1/2 teaspoon onion salt for the thyme, garlic salt and cayenne pepper.
Sweet Chile Soybean Snacks:
Prepare as above, except substitute 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt, 2 teaspoons garlic salt, 2 teaspoons brown sugar and 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder for the thyme, garlic salt, and cayenne pepper.
